Charity Sew-In

We are excited to sponsor our first 2012 Charity Sew-In day to benefit the Star of Hope Mission.  The Star of Hope is dedicated to helping the homeless in Houston and we would like to supply them with quilts, blankets and pillowcases.  There will be plenty of opportunities to help – so please do what you can!

  • Fabric and batting donations will be collected by Guild members at the February18th meeting of the Houston Modern Quilt Guild. Donations can also be dropped off in the Activity Center at St. Martin's Episcopal Church.  The Center hours are Monday thru Thursday 8am-9pm, Friday 8am-6pm & Saturday 9am-5pm.
  •  February 25th we will organize the materials, cutting them into kits ready for sewing.
  •  March 10th is the big Sew-In day – we will meet and sew from 10am until 4pm in our regular room at St. Martins.  Come for all day or just a few hours – all are welcome to sew!
  • April 21st is the due date for unfinished projects to be turned as well as a clothing drive.  After our meeting we can take our donations to the mission.
